Twisting Process Improvements

Base multifilament polypropylene is physically twisted to create PP twisted yarn. By adjusting the twist level between 45 and 200 TPM, loose filament separation-a frequent reason for breaking under high-tension loads-is prevented. The total abrasion resistance of ropes and heavy-duty webbing is improved by this twisting, which also greatly increases filament cohesion and lowers the coefficient of variation (CV) for elongation at break to ≤10. 

Without gaining weight from the twisting process, the constituent fibres maintain the fundamental benefits of regular polypropylene, such as ultra-low density, UV stability, and resistance to acid and alkali. The factory manufactures PP twisted yarns in standard specifications between 300D and 3000D, which satisfy all industry standards for rope braiding, industrial sewing, and the production of safety textiles.Polypropylene twisted yarn is appropriate for applications where cost-effectiveness, durability, and lightweight construction are crucial due to its stable mechanical qualities and constant yarn quality. Industrial Applications

The main raw material for lifting ropes, fire hose reinforcing threads, FIBC (bulk bag) sewing threads, and construction safety netting is twisted PP yarn. Compared to untwisted polypropylene filaments, its tightly twisted internal structure greatly increases the service life of the final product by preventing individual filaments from breaking during extended, heavy-duty operation. We provide fully customised solution-dyed twisted PP yarns as well as natural white; all colour options receive a Grade 4–5 rating for colour fastness against sunshine and chemical cleaning.
