Inherent Heat & Insulation Performance of Meta Aramid Yarn

Meta-aramid yarn is a well-known core heat-resistant textile fibre for high-temperature industrial applications. It is spun from meta-aramid (PMIA) staple fibres and filaments. These yarns can operate continuously and safely at 204°C due to their permanent thermal stability; they only carbonise at 400°C and do not melt or leak when exposed to brief heat shocks of 300°C. They provide self-extinguishing, flame-retardant qualities without the need for extra chemical coatings since they have an intrinsic Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of at least 28. With a dielectric strength of up to 20 kV/mm, meta-aramid yarn fabrics are a superior insulating material that is essential for insulating textiles in electric motors and transformers. When exposed to UV light and alpha or beta radiation for extended periods of time, the molecular chain structure of meta-aramid yarn maintains stable mechanical properties while offering robust resistance to typical inorganic acids and alkalis at ambient temperature.

Spinnable Grades & Industrial Application of Meta Aramid Yarn

We provide two primary forms of meta-aramid yarn: continuous filament yarn and spun yarn, with staple fibre counts ranging from 0.8D to 15D and a variety of blend options. A standard mixture of 93% meta-aramid, 5% para-aramid, and 2% conductive fibre offers long-lasting antistatic efficacy for petrochemical explosion-proof clothing. Without requiring equipment modifications, the fibres maintain optimal stiffness and balanced elongation, guaranteeing complete compatibility with ordinary textile looms. High-temperature flue gas filter bags for steel plants and waste incineration, turnout gear textiles for firefighters, protective felts for welding and industrial high-temperature sewing threads are important downstream uses.We provide more than 200 solution-dyed colour variations with a colour fastness rating of 4-5 to satisfy the various protective apparel design requirements of international industrial clients throughout 36 export markets, and each batch is subjected to SGS compliance certification.
