Ultra-High Tensile Mechanical Traits of Para Aramid Yarn

This para-aramid yarn, which is made of PPTA (para-aramid) polymer, is presently the strongest commercial organic fibre made worldwide. It offers an unmatched combination of light weight and load-bearing capabilities for heavy-duty protection and reinforcing applications, with a tensile strength five to six times that of steel wire and a weight just one-fifth that of steel wire. The yarn exhibits remarkable dimensional stability under prolonged load and repeated cyclic wear due to its exceptionally high elastic modulus and little elongation at break.

It has intrinsic, long-lasting flame retardancy and self-extinguishing qualities, and it produces no molten droplets when exposed to ignition sources. It runs in a very broad temperature range, from -196°C to a continuous service temperature of 204°C.In challenging maritime settings and chemical processing, its resistance to acids, alkalis, and organic solvents guarantees performance integrity.

In addition to continuous filament yarns and spun yarns formed from crimped staple fibres, our extensive line of para-aramid yarn products also includes pulp and chopped fibres as derivative materials. The spun yarns are perfect for cut-resistant gloves and protective woven fabrics since they have a linear density of 1.5–4 denier and come in standard cut lengths of 38 mm, 51 mm, and 76 mm. Continuous filament standards span from 600 to 9000 denier, with basic, high-strength, and high-modulus grades that can be customised for uses like bulletproof vests and optical cable reinforcement. Personal protective equipment, rubber composite reinforcement, lightweight aircraft components, and raw materials for sealing and friction goods are important application areas.

Tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and thermal shrinkage are all tested internally for each batch.
