In contrast to crimped staple fibre made using different texturing techniques, aramid chopped filament offers better single-fiber tenacity and modulus per unit weight than regular staple grades while maintaining a smooth, uniform cross-section and consistent tensile strength.The direct filament-to-chopped production route eliminates intermediate crimping and texturing stages that can introduce micro-damage to fiber surfaces, resulting in cleaner fiber ends and more uniform length distribution for consistent composite mixing performance. All signature PPTA properties are preserved: ultra-high specific strength, low density, wide operating temperature range, intrinsic flame resistance, and excellent cut and abrasion resistance.
