Textile Processability Core Advantages of Aramid Staple Fiber

In contrast to continuous filaments, aramid staple fibres are crimped, cut-length aromatic polyamide fibres made especially for spinning and nonwoven manufacturing lines. They work exceptionally well with standard textile machinery. Meta-aramid (PMIA) staple fibres (0.8–15 denier) and para-aramid (PPTA) staple fibres (1.5–4 denier) are the two types of aramid staple fibre systems that we provide. To guarantee smooth downstream spinning, both have regulated surface finishes and uniform crimp. Because of their low stiffness and moderate elongation, meta-aramid staple fibres can be easily processed on conventional looms without the need for special equipment modifications. They also have long-term thermal stability at 204°C and inherent flame resistance (LOI ≥ 28), which are characteristics built right into the polymer chain.For knitting protective gloves, para-aramid staple fibres provide outstanding cut resistance due to their greater tenacity and modulus. In order to prevent secondary wastewater pollution from dyeing procedures, both variations are offered in undyed (white) and dope-dyed versions.

Our inventory of aramid staple fibres includes both heavy-denier industrial grades and fine-denier textile grades; para-aramid varieties are offered in standard cut lengths of 38mm, 51mm, and 76mm to satisfy a variety of spinning needs. Because it provides resistance to acidic and alkaline corrosive gases and prolongs service life, meta-aramid staple fibre is an essential raw material for high-temperature flue gas filtering bags used in steel mills and waste incineration facilities. Additionally, it is used to make industrial felts that are resistant to heat and to strengthen automobile rubber hoses.Para-aramid staple fibre is produced into yarns for industrial high-temperature felts, flame-resistant protective textiles, and cut-resistant gloves.
