The highest-strength commercial organic fibre now in mass production is called "P-aramid fibre," short for para-aramid fibre (PPTA, Aramid 1414). Because of its remarkable performance qualities and natural golden-yellow look, it has earned the moniker "Golden Fibre." For structural reinforcing applications, para-aramid fibre offers an unmatched combination of high load-bearing capacity and low weight, with a specific tensile strength five to six times that of steel wire and just one-fifth the density of steel. With an initial modulus of up to 837 cN/dtex and an elongation at break of less than 2.6%, high-modulus grades of p-aramid fibre show exceptional dimensional stability and ultra-low creep under prolonged stress.The fibre has intrinsic, permanent flame retardancy and does not melt or leak when exposed to flames. It also retains stable mechanical properties across an extensive temperature range, from -196°C to a continuous operating temperature of 204°C. It also withstands deterioration from extended exposure to UV light and radiation, as well as corrosion from acids, alkalis, and organic solvents, without suffering a major loss of strength.

Our extensive range of para-aramid fibre products includes three primary performance grades: a flagship high-strength grade for heavy-duty marine engineering and ballistic protection, a high-modulus grade for precision fiber-optic cables and aerospace components, and a standard-strength grade for large-scale industrial reinforcement. 600D fine filaments to 9000D heavy tows are among the available specifications. Custom dope-dyed colours or the standard natural gold finish are also available upon request. To meet different downstream processing needs, we also make para-aramid fibres in staple, chopped, and pulp forms in addition to continuous filaments.Fiber-optic cable strength members, tyre cord reinforcement, automotive high-pressure rubber hoses, aerospace composite panels, ballistic and stab-resistant fabrics, and reinforcement for flexible marine piping are important application areas. In our UL-certified in-house laboratory, each batch is rigorously tested for tensile strength, modulus, and thermal shrinkage. We also assist in the creation of specialised denier and performance grades for specific industrial projects.
