With a tenacity reading of 8.5 to 9.4 GPD, this Nylon 66 high-tenacity yarn performs noticeably better than regular PA66 industrial yarn. We routinely offer a minimum breaking strength of 154 N for standards like 1870 dtex (1680D), which translates into thinner, lighter, and more durable final products without compromising safety. The material's low dry heat shrinkage (4.0–5.5% at 177°C) helps preserve product shape following post-treatment heat setting, and its equilibrium elongation at break of 19–21% prevents brittle fracture under abrupt dynamic stresses.

Safety Applications and Capacity

This superior mechanical property makes our Nylon 66 high-tenacity yarn the preferred material for automotive airbag fabrics. We currently supply products to leading airbag manufacturers worldwide. These partners rely on the material's high impact resistance, heat capacity, and soft hand feel to provide reliable protection for passengers in rapidly deployable events. To meet growing market demand, we are actively expanding our manufacturing capacity. For airbag applications, we presently make 10,000 tonnes of our Nylon 66 high-tenacity yarn yearly; by early 2025, we hope to increase that amount to 30,000 tonnes. 15,000 tonnes will be produced on a second plant specifically for tyre reinforcing purposes.

Quality Assurance

For each batch of Nylon 66 high-strength yarn, we offer official test reports with all indications validated by the German Textechno Statimat 4U system. This yarn is perfect for industrial ropes, heavy-duty lifting cables, and safety-critical parachute fabrics because of its tight control over breaking strength CV (≤4.0%) and linear density CV (≤2.5%), which avoid unequal force distribution in the finished fabric. Our Nylon 66 high-strength yarn provides dependable specs and proven performance for OEMs looking for strict, high-strength substrates.
